Three leading North Sea industry figures will discuss ways to maximise economic recovery from the UK Continental Shelf at the next Aberdeen breakfast briefing.
The Oil & Gas UK event will investigate ways to extend the productive life of the UKCS based on the current progress of the body’s Pilot initiatives.
Peter Jones from Taqa will focus on collaboration between the operators, while Jim House from Apache North Sea will look into increasing production efficiency and Trevor Garlick from BP North Sea will share ways of increasing recovery levels to over 50%.
“The UKCS is currently benefiting from record investment of £13.5 billion; the strongest for three decades,” said Oonagh Werngren, Oil & Gas UK’s operations director.
“Despite rising investment levels, the UKCS is undoubtedly one of the most mature offshore basins in the world and therefore faces unique challenges which are best faced by collaboration from across the industry to drive the major initiatives which will extend the production of natural resources off the coast of the UK.
“We are fortunate to have three industry leaders who are actively engaged in driving forward the Pilot agenda.”
The event will take place on December 3 at Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre. Click here for more details
