BW Offshore has signed an extension for its Abo floating production unit to remain with Agip’s Nigerian operations until mid-2014.
The Eni spin-off has had the unit, which can produce up to 44,000 barrels of oil per day, under contract since 2003.
The new deal will see the FPSO remain in place on the Abo field for a further six months, as Eni and BW Offshore look at long-term investment and production plans for the unit.
