Russian oil producer Petroneft says output from its operations in Tomsk has fallen after weather conditions made accessing wells for repairs too difficult.
The company saw production drop at the Tomsk Oblast licences to around 2300 barrels of oil per day, with workovers required on several of the field’s wells.
Petroneft, which is still looking to farm out its stake on the fields while refinancing its operations, said work could only be carried out once access improves with the creation of winter roads.
The Dublin-based group had put drilling work on hold while debt refinancing talks were underway, but has now restarted work on the Lineynoye well after striking a deferred payment deal with a drilling contractor owned by one of the firm’s directors.
“We are pleased with this agreement with our drilling contractor which allows us to continue with our drilling programme in a cost effective manner for the benefit of our shareholders,” said cheif executive Dennis Francis.
“We continue to make encouraging progress on the re-financing and farmout fronts and we appreciate shareholders continued patience and support while these negotiations are completed.”
