An Aberdeen-based oil and gas consultancy has tripled the size of its Houston operations as it targets more than £3million in the next five years from the USA.
Maxoil Solutions moved their US offices to Woodbranch Building – located in Houston’s Energy Corridor – following the appointment of 10 new staff and an influx of international commissions worth £1.2million.
The company is looking to more than double that figure in the next five years from an increased involvement in North American shale gas sector as well as heavy oil production in Canada, the Caribbean and Mexico.
“Houston has always been a major hub of activity for the global energy sector, therefore we’re not surprised that we’ve become recognized for the value we bring to both brownfield and greenfield developments,” said Brad Nelson, Maxoil’s general manager of the Americas.
“With our recent involvement in unconventional production operations and the OPEX (operating expense) savings we are identifying, I see our exposure with oil and gas operators solidifying and I can’t think of a more exciting or rewarding time to be working within the oil and gas industry.”
