The tragic Gulf of Mexico spill has become the lead theme of a new stage play, due to hit Louisiana theatres in Spring.
The 110 minute play Spill will feature around 30 real-life characters, sharing their experiences of the 2010 rig explosion, including parish officials, fishermen and cleanup workers, as well as an art installation with portraits of those interviewed.
The drama is a more complete version of the story than the one that appeared in print, promised its author, Leigh Fondakowski.
Spill will run between March 12-30 at the Swine Palace theatre on the Louisiana State University Campus.
