Norway’s oil output rose by 8% for November as fewer shut-ins boosted the country’s production levels.
Average daily production for November was around 1,904,000 barrels of oil, natural gas liquids and condensate, up 150,000 barrels a day from October.
Repair work on the Heidrun, Skarv, Skuld and Valhall fields failed to bring production levels down significantly, though, with output meeting the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate forecasts for the year.
Production levels was seven per cent higher than over the same period last year, with 1,545,000 barrels of oil per day, 291,000 of NGL and 68,000 barrels of condensate.
