A host of north-east companies are in the running for this year’s Offshore Achievement Awards.
The shortlist for the 2014 awards, which are organised and hosted by the Aberdeen section of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, was revealed today.
Now in its 28th year, the awards aim to recognise individual achievements, contribution to the offshore industry and collaborative working.
“This year’s judges were extremely impressed by the talent that the UK industry has to offer,” said SPE Aberdeen board member responsible for organising the awards Ian Phillips from energy consultancy Pale Blue Dot Energy.
“The awards showcase examples of true innovation and hard work, and present a superb opportunity for companies and individuals to be recognised by their peers.”
The awards ceremony will take place on Thursday March 20 at the Aberdeen Exhibition & Conference Centre.
Winners will be presented their unique award trophies – designed by Robert Gordon University student Kayleigh Cummings – by UK comedian Sean Lock, a team captain on popular comedy panel show 8 Out of 10 Cats.
