Engineering firm Kentz has landed a $62m deal to support gas production from the giant Marcellus shale field.
The company’s Valerus subsidiary, which handles oil and gas projects in the US, will provide engineering, construction and procurement for two compressor stations in West Virginia.
The turnkey stations, which will handle 240million standard cubic feet of gas per day, will be completed later this year.
“These projects, currently under construction, are essential to our infrastructure development plans in the very active Marcellus, connecting it to the market,” said operator Crestwood, which awarded the contract.
