Production has resumed at a North Sea oil platform at the centre of an oil leak scare earlier this week.
Investigations are continuing into how around 200 barrels worth of oil was able to leak after the incident on the Statfjord C platform.
But after being shut down on Sunday following the incident, work on platform has now resumed.
“Production on Statfjord C was resumed Wednesday evening after required inspection has been completed,” operator Statoil said in a statement.
“The incident is currently being investigated.”
Workers on the platform were ready to evacuate from the installation after the incident, which saw around 32 cubic metres escape into the North Sea after a leak from a depressurised drainage trap.
Norway’s Petroleum Safety Authority confirmed it had launched a probe into how the leak occurred.
