Paul Griffin, Dana Petroleum UK’s managing director, will present an overview of the firm’s £1billion Western Isles development at an event on Wednesday.
Mr Griffin, who joined Dana in 2005 in operations and development management, will provide a rare insight into the technical considerations and challenges related to a major field development at the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Aberdeen event.
Mr Griffin said: “Western Isles is a key project for Dana and it plays a major part in our growth strategy as we aim to significantly increase our production.
“With the project now well under way, I am looking forward to sharing an update on its progress through this SPE Aberdeen forum.”
Anthony Onukwu, Chairman of SPE Aberdeen Chapter said: “This is a huge opportunity for SPE members to hear directly from Dana Petroleum about the Western Isle project. And it is coming directly from their UK managing director.
“The Western Isles Project is very important for the UK and North Sea from our professional point of view, for the technical challenges it presents. We thank Shell UK Limited for sponsoring this event.”
