Falklands-focused oil firm Rockhopper Exploration has appointed Dr John Summers as a non-executive director to its board.
Dr Summers is a trained geologist who worked for BG Group for 29 years in various roles including chief geologist, vice president for exploration and vice president for new ventures.
He has also served in non-executive roles at Composite Energy The Industry Technology Facilitator and was a trustee of the BG Group final salary pension scheme.
This follows the appointment of Keith Lough as a non-executive director to the board.
Rockhopper also confirmed today that John Crowle – appointed as non-executive director in 2005 – will retire before the next AGM.
Meanwhile finance director Peter Dixon-Clarke has stepped down from the board, but will continue to act in an interim consultancy role for the firm until a replacement has been found.
