Two energy service firms – Aubin Integrity and Flexlife – are teaming up to provide a full service of subsea integrity management solutions for the oil and gas sector.
Aubin Integrity – a division of offshore chemical engineering specialist Aubin Group – and Flexlife have developed a range of pipeline isolation polymers to address major integrity issues in the substructure of an offshore platform in the UK Continental Shelf.
The two companies created an internal pipework sealant – AXI-Lokk – to repair the pipework following a serious breach at the platform.
Aubin and Flexlife have a history of working together including collaboration on projects to help mitigate corrosion in hard to access areas on offshore platforms.
Under the new agreement, Aubin Integrity’s development team will work with Flexlife’s subsea engineering and project management team to provide full-circle integrity management (IM) services.
“By entering into this, we are launching a new service to the oil industry, providing all areas of an IM project from start to finish,” said Aubin Group subsea director Serena Arif.
Flexlife chief executive Ciaran O’Donnell said: “With the ageing assets here in the North Sea and globally we are seeing a real demand for our IM solutions now and in the future.”
