Tyneside-based engineering firm OGN Group has landed a contract with ConocoPhillips to build a new process module a North Sea project.
The firm declined to confirm the value of the contract, which will see a workforce of up to 500 staff deliver the module over a 16-month period.
The module will include a primary separator, condensate heater, gas cooler, water de-gasser, hydro-cyclones and condensate recycle pumps.
In November, OGN landed a contract with North Sea operator EnQuest to carry out finishing and commissioning works on the 249m-long EnQuest Producer FPSO.
Chief commercial officer Craig Melville said: “This project demonstrates the continuing role the north-east of England has to play in the UK oil and gas industry.”
