Technip has landed a deal for project management consultancy on the Zakum oilfield, off Abu Dhabi.
The deal with Abu Dhabi Marine Operating Company (ADMA-OPCO) will cover engineering, procurement and construction phases of the Zakum Oil Lines Replacement Project-Phase 1 (ZKOL).
The project is looking to replace around 90 kilometres of aged oil pipelines in the 1958 field and is due for completion in 2016.
“We are delighted to have been awarded this project, as it further strengthens our collaboration with ADMA-OPCO as well as our presence in the Middle East, where Technip is providing PMC services for key projects,” said Riccardo Moizo, senior vice president of Technip PMC.
The award extends Technip’s cooperation with ADMA-OPCO, following a 2012 delivery of an engineering design for the Zakum field.
