Scots oil and gas engineering firm Premier Hytemp has appointed Campbell MacPherson as its new chief executive.
Mr MacPherson will join the Edinburgh-headquartered firm in April after leaving his post as general director at Schoeller Bleckmann Oilfield Equipment in Vietnam.
He was previously managing director of Schoeller’s operations in Aberdeen where he set up the firm’s Russian subsidiary. Prior to that he worked for Schlumberger, BI Group and Forth Tool & Valve Ltd.
Premier Hytemp, which manufactures engineered components for the oil and gas sector, has also appointed a new chief commercial officer.
Gavin Rippe will join the firm in March from JDR Cable Systems, where he was sales director for global oil and gas subsea accounts across Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific.
“Campbell and Gavin have a wealth of industry experience, which will be extremely valuable to us as we pursue our growth strategy,” said chairman Maurice McBride.
“They will provide the leadership and insight to ensure that we increase our market share through our established relationships and new business.”
Premier Hytemp employs 200 people across its operations in the UK and Singapore. A £34.5million buyout in November 2012 was backed by Dunedin.
