Asset integrity firm XPD8 Solutions has secured three contracts worth a combined £4million for work in the North Sea and Africa and boosted its senior management team.
The Aberdeen-based company has added contracts for condition monitoring services for Wood Group, on behalf of Dana Petroleum, and Apache on the UK Continental Shelf and with a further operator in Equatorial Guinea.
The projects are set to run through to March 2019.
The firm said the new contracts will lead to it taking on five employees over the next 12 months.
The company, which was established in 2003, has promoted its head of condition monitoring, Gordon Ellis, to operations director.
The condition monitoring department has 20 members of staff. Mr Ellis, who has more than 20 years’ industry experience, joined the company in 2005.
He said: “Our recent contract wins demonstrate the growing recognition of the value effective condition monitoring can bring to operators looking to ensure the integrity of their assets.
“We had a strong year in 2013 and these latest contracts have been part of an encouraging start to 2014.
“We are continuing to grow and have received interest from businesses all over the world.”
