The first public event featuring Sir Ian Wood since the publication of his review of the UK Continental Shelf has sold out.
More than 700 delegates will hear Sir Ian’s views on the future of the North Sea at a breakfast briefing, organised by industry body Oil and Gas UK, later this week.
Oil and Gas UK chief executive Malcolm Webb will interview the author of the report, which has received government backing and industry support since its publication last week.
The event, at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre on March 27, is now a full house, with organisers opening a waiting list for those still hoping to attend.
“We are delighted, but not surprised, this event has proved to be so popular,” said O&GUK business director Stephen Marcos Jones.
“Sir Ian Wood’s final recommendations will be game changing for our industry.
“The audience for our breakfast briefings has almost doubled in the past decade – a real sign of both a buoyant industry and growth in Oil & Gas UK’s membership.”
