US onshore-focused Nighthawk Energy has reshuffled its senior management team, with chairman Stephen Gutteridge set to stand down from the firm.
The London-listed firm, which struck oil in the Colorado Plains in 20120, said major shareholder Johan Claesson would join the company from April 1 as a non-executive director after supporting it financially over the last two years.
Current chief operating officer Chuck Wilson wil become an executive board member on the same date, while Gutteridge is to step down by the end of September.
The move comes as the company looks to strengthen its management presence in the USA in a bid to grow its profile and assets.
“Our Denver team has delivered significant success over the past two years and built a US company that has good future prospects,” Gutteridge said.
“The current split of executive responsibility between the US and the UK, whilst appropriate for the recovery over the past two years, is not the most effective way to run the business going forward.”
