Offshore engineering firm Aquaterra Energy has secured a four-year exclusive frame agreement with Dong Energy for the £1.3billion Hejre development in the Danish North Sea.
The deal sets out provision of drilling installation support, with an initial order for centralisers, cement top-up systems and cutting and tensioning equipment to the value of £500,000, for the High Pressure – High Temperature (HPHT) project.
The development of the Hejre oil and gas field, located 300km from the Danish coastline in license block 5/98, includes a manned wellhead and processing platform and five HTHP production wells, all at a water depth of 70m.
Dong, who owns a 60% interest in the field, expects to launch production in 2016.
“This significant contract is our largest to date with the Danish state energy company, which has worked with one other supplier for many years,” said Eric Doyle, Aquaterra Energy’s regional director for Europe.
“We are sure that this will be the beginning of a fulfilling and enduring relationship between our two organisations.”
