Oil services giant Wood Group has picked up another contract win after landing a deal to support a giant project in Kazakhstan.
Wood Group GTS and KazTurboRemont will provide long-term service on turbines at the key Kashagan field after landing a contract with the North Caspian Production Operating Company.
The joint venture will support key turbines and rotating equipment after agreeing an initial eight-year deal with the oil producer.
“Working with KTR we will apply our proven experience in the gas turbine market to manage the scope of work for NCPOC,” said Wood Group GTS power plant services boss Frank Avery.
“By offering a localised service KTR-WG is able to provide capital parts, repair and 24/7 field service engineers. Our integrated approach to managed maintenance services will assist NCPOC in ensuring high availability of their diverse portfolio of rotating equipment.”
