Oil services firm Hydrasun has invested more than £600,000 in upgrading its high pressure hose assemblies division for subsea intervention.
The Aberdeen-based company has financed new assembly and testing equipment, including a crimping machine as well as enhanced reeling equipment to boost its turnkey, in-house services offering.
Current sales of its specialised hose series to customers including BP, Weatherford and Saipem, resulting in a 27% annual turnover over the last two years, have driven the investment, the company said in a statement.
“One of Hydrasun’s leading objectives is to provide our customers with access to a product and service offering within rapid timescales that suit the nature of their operations,” said Craig Sangster, Hydrasun’s sales and marketing director.
“By developing the suite of High Pressure Hose Assemblies we can manufacture within our own facilities, we can deliver the speed of response our customers require whilst delivering innovation and real value to their operations going forward”.
