The Chinese owner of the UK North Sea’s giant Buzzard oilfield said “harmony has been further promoted” since its buyout of Canadian oil and gas firm Nexen last year.
CNOOC acquired Nexen for £9.6billion in March 2013 in China’s biggest foreign corporate takeover.
In a report published yesterday, it said: “The company has a deeper understanding of Nexen’s corporate system and management model after the completion of the acquisition.
“The integration of the human resources development between the two companies has been intensified and harmony has been further promoted.”
In its annual report for 2013, CNOOC said its North Sea assets had produced 83,460 barrels of oil per day and 28.7million cubic feet of natural gas per day last year.
