Fairfield Energy has awarded Ocean Installer specialist diving work in the Dunlin Field.
The subsea company will carry out air diving and subsea construction on the Dunlin Alpha platform. The work, which will be managed from the firm’s Aberdeen office, is expected to take three months, finishing in June. The contract scope includes the installation of sleeves, clamps and anodes as well as various inspection and repair tasks.
UK managing director Martin Sisley said: “We are very pleased to have been awarded our first contract with Fairfield Energy Limited, which is also our first air diving project. We will work closely with the operator, as well as Canyon Offshore, to execute the job in a safe and timely manner.”
The firm, which also has offices in Norway and Houston, will utilise the Grand Canyon, a specialist offshore, ROV and supply vessel to carry out the subsea initiatives.
The Dunlin field is part of the Dunlin cluster of fields, consisting of Dunlin, Dunlin SW, Osprey and Merlin. The cluster is located in Blocks 211/18, 211/23 and 211/24 of the UKCS, some 500km north-northeast of Aberdeen, within the East Shetland Basin.
