Denmark has opened the door to its 7th Offshore Licensing Round with interested parties now invited to table bids with the Danish Energy Agency. The application period ends on October 20.
The areas offered are located in the Central Graben, where the majority of Danish fields have so far been discovered, and in the areas further to the east, where oil discoveries were made in the 6th Round.
The DEA’s assessments indicate that large quantities of oil and gas still remain to be discovered in the Danish areas. The new licensing round is designed to help achieve continuity of exploration activity in the years to come.
