Subsea engineer DOF Subsea has been awarded a contract by Maersk Oil for a job on the Dumbarton Drill Cluster Centre (DCC) in the North Sea.
The work, due to begin in July 2014, encompasses replacement of a flexible production riser at the Global Producer 3 FPSO (floating production, storage and offloading vessel) located in block 15/20, at 140metres of water depth.
DOF Subsea will also provide all project management and engineering support from its Aberdeen base, as well as a team to support riser pull-in operations on board the FPSO.
“We are delighted that Maersk Oil UK has selected us for this project,” said Giovanni Corbetta, managing director of DOF Subsea UK.
“We feel that this demonstrates confidence in the experience and capabilities of our engineering and project management teams and the investments we have made in our offshore assets.
“We are also pleased that our growing track record of success in delivering complex construction projects is strengthening our relationships with major operator clients.”
