Energy services firm Technip has won its second contract for the extension of subsea infrastructure on the Alvheim field in Norwegian North Sea.
The deal with Marathon Oil covers installation engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation and tie-in of spools and protection covers as well as installation of one manifold, at a water-depth of approximately 120 meters.
Technip’s operating center in Norway’s Stavanger will administrate the project, which is scheduled to be completed in the first half of 2016.
It is the second award for Technip to provide an extension to the Alvheim infrastructure, with previous work carried out in 2012 and 2013.
“This award confirms our leading position as contractor for diving operations in the North Sea,” said Odd Strømsnes, managing director at Technip in Norway.
“We are looking forward to continuing and consolidating our collaboration with Marathon through this project.”
