Aberdeen flange firm Equalizer International has grown its Canadian portfolio by signing a new deal with The Pickford Group.
The industrial supplier now holds sole rights for the distribution of Equalizer’s full range of tools in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, Northwest Territory, Yukon Territory and British Columbia.
This latest agreement with The Pickford Group is part of an ongoing and intensive programme of global expansion by which Equalizer celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, the company said in a statement.
The firm has also recently signed agreements with distributors in Singapore, Malaysia, Nigeria and Ireland.
“We have been planning to increase our presence in the Canadian market since opening up an office in Houston 12 months ago so this is a logical next step for us,” said Ian McCormick, chairman and managing director of Equalizer International.
“Our business in North America has grown considerably over the course of the year and Canada is increasingly important.
“Because of this we wanted to make sure that we would be working with the right distributor and we are delighted that we have signed this agreement with The Pickford Group which has many years of experience in our niche part of the market.”
