Malaysian oil and gas firm SapuraKencana Petroleum has won a number of drilling contracts and extensions in Southeast Asia and Trinidad and Tobago worth an estimated $700million.
The company’s wholly-owned Malaysian subsidiary secured two contracts from state oil firm Petroliam Nasional for provision of tender assist drilling rigs for its offshore operations.
SapuraKencana’s Hong Kong unit signed a deal with Chevron for the provision of an offshore drilling rig and services in Thailand.
While the company’s Bermuda unit extended existing contracts with BP for the use of its drilling rigs in Trinidad and Tobago.
The contracts will be added to SapuraKencana’s earnings for the financial year ending January 31, 2015 onwards.
