Offshore accommodation firm HB Rentals has completed a “seven-figure contract” for an integrated services project from Jack-Up Barge.
The deal covered delivery and installation of a linkable accommodation complex comprising of sleeper and welfare modules, access stairs and walkways for a six-month contract as part of the self-elevating platform provider’s operations in the Conwy gas field in Liverpool Bay.
It also involved the provision of engineering services in the course of the project, including an upgrade of existing fire and gas detection systems.
The 60 bed accommodation complex comprises sleeper modules, wash rooms, laundry, recreation facilities and meeting and conference rooms.
“This project was important to our oil and gas division on a number of levels,” said Norman Porter, Eastern hemisphere business unit managing director.
“Firstly it highlights not only the high quality of our modules and support equipment, but also the value added services we provide our clients in terms of offering a total solution including the necessary engineering and expertise.
“The scale of this project further demonstrates HB Rentals’ position as the leading provider of offshore accommodation solutions for the energy sector in Europe.”
