Aberdeenshire company Motive Offshore has reached a growth milestone by employing its 100th employee in under four years in business.
The maritime equipment firm has opened two new sites since its launch in 2010, including a sales office in Aberdeen and an operational base in Stavanger, Norway, launched at the end of last year.
The increased staff base was prompted by a growing demand for the Banff-based firm’s services, including manufacturing and rental of winches, umbilical deployment equipment and specialised subsea equipment, the company said.
“It is a great achievement to reach the 100 employee mark in under four years of business and is something we are very proud of,” said Bob Smit, director at Motive Offshore.
“In the last few years, we have secured several large contracts and grown rapidly, so we had to develop our workforce to ensure we could continue to offer our clients quality products and service.
“We have also significantly invested in our products in the last year to ensure we meet market requirements and provide the industry with a new generation of high quality marine equipment.”
