Energy services firm WorleyParsons has won an engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) services contract on the North West Shelf gas project, in Western Australia.
Under the framework agreement with Woodside, WorleyParsons will deliver brownfield EPCM services for the Australian explorer’s onshore and offshore assets.
“We are extremely pleased to provide a program that will help support Woodside operated North West Shelf assets in the years to come” said Andrew Wood, WorleyParsons’ chief executive.
The $25.4billion North West Shelf Project (NWSP), operated by Woodside, supplies oil and gas to Australian and international markets from huge gas and condensate fields in the Carnarvon Basin on Australia’s north-west continental shelf.
NWSP facilities constitute Australia’s largest oil and gas resource development and currently account for more than 40% of Australia’s oil and gas production.
Other project participants include BHP Billiton Petroleum, BP, Chevron, Shell and Japan Australia LNG.
