The fourth well in the 30-well development in Trinidad’s Goudron field has reached its total depth, the operator Leni Gas & Oil (LGO) has reported.
The GY-667 has been successfully drilled to a total depth of 4,006 feet measured depth, after it was deepened 166 feet below the original intended total depth.
In addition to oil pay in the Goudron Sandstones the well found oil pay in the Gros Morne and Lower Cruse sections.
The well will now be logged and cemented with a 7-inch casing.
“Well GY-667 not only continues the success of recent drilling, but also appears to have encountered a thinker reservoir interval in the Lower Cruse which adds further production potential and possible reserves to the field,” said Neil Ritson, LGO’s chief executive.
