Energy solutions firm AnTech has won an underbalanced coiled tubing drilling (CTUBD) contract from Lundin Petroleum.
The CTUBD, which allows the wells to be extended without damaging the existing wellbore, will be carried out on the North Sea explorer’s Villerperdue oilfield in France, within the Paris basin, using AnTech’s Polaris bottom hole assembly (BHA).
“As operating companies seek to produce more from existing wells, Coiled Tubing Drilling is increasingly seen as a cost-effective way for them to do that,” said Toni Miszewski, managing director of AnTech.
“We are delighted to have been appointed by Lundin Petroleum and believe our offerings sit well with the organisations’ values of ensuring maximum oil recovery in a safe and environmentally responsible way.”
