A new joint venture between an Aberdeen offshore services firm and a Singaporean shipping company has added two more ship management jobs to its order book.
GOSeaEnergy Ship Management was set up in June this year when SeaEnergy entered into a 51:49 joint venture with Go Offshore, with SeaEnergy Ship Management holding the majority 51% interest.
The partnership’s first contract covered the Surf Ranger vessel, currently operating in the North Sea under charter, deployed on subsea support to exploration and production operations.
Now, GoSeaEnergy has been awarded the ship management of two further vessels: Go Pegasus and Go Electra, both currently flagged in the Marshall Islands.
The Go Pegasus – DP2 anchor handler (AHTS), owned by the Singapore based Otto Marine – will be operating under charter and used for ploughing activities in the western UKCS.
GoSeaEnergy will be responsible for the full management of the vessel’s crew, provisions and technical support.
The Go Electra – a DP2 multi-purpose support vessel, owned by RY Offshore – is currently operating under charter for Harkand ISS and is carrying out remote operated vehicle (ROV) surveys and air diving operations, primarily in the North Sea.
“It is a busy and exciting time for us as a group and we are delighted to have increased the number of ships under management in such a short timeframe,” said Mike Comerford, operations director for SeaEnergy.
“We have had excellent feedback from the companies chartering these vessels – a credit to the wealth of experience of our team at GoSeaEnergy.”
