Aubin has appointed a new chief operating officer to its leadership ranks.
John Payne will take over the role effective immediately.
The master mariner and chartered director, who has more than 25 years’ experience in subsea oil and gas, joins the SME during a time of rapid growth.
Over the past 18 months the firm has boosted its headcount 60%, increasing numbers from 17 to 45.
Paddy Collins, managing director at Aubin, said: “John’s role is to support growth across our subsea, integrity, pipelines and well services divisions and lead the service delivery aspect of the firm which is on the cusp of financial growth.
“He has extensive experience working internationally having managed profitable service related global businesses in the UK and Asia Pacific. Over half of our business is in the Middle East and we see massive opportunity in South East Asia and both North and South America.
“All round it’s an exciting time for Aubin, we have big ambitions for our subsea buoyancy technology which is currently in development. One of our systems has just enjoyed a successful operational trial and we are now looking to test it in a North Sea operating environment.”
