Zenith Energy has landed contracts with Tullow Oil and Total E&P.
The firm, based out of Regent Quay, agreed a three year non-exclusive deal with Tullow to provide well engineering on an ad-hoc basis. It also confirmed a contract with Total to prepare and deliver High Pressure High Temperature (HPHT) well control training to the offshore Total teams for a well to be drilled on the Rowan Gorilla V rig on the Elgin field in the North Sea.
The pair of deals represents a significant win for the company, which was established in 2012. To facilitate the new work, Chris Collie has been promoted to operations director.
Managing director of Zenith Energy, Martin Booth, said: “Agreeing these recent contracts with Tullow Oil and Total E&P is a major achievement for the firm and reflects our growth and capabilities within the industry. The Tullow contract will be on-going, enabling us to provide a wide range of services and further showcase our expertise within our well engineering team.
“As a business, we have grown significantly in only two years of operation, working with many large operators and projects, which has signalled our move to promote Chris and further develop our strategic growth plans. He has played a key role in the growth of the business since the beginning, helping to firmly establish Zenith’s name in the market, as well as managing our expanding team which has been key part in the success of Zenith so far.”
Zenith currently employs a team of 14.
Operations director at Zenith, Chris Collie, added: “Zenith is enjoying a period of significant growth and these contract awards enable us to expand our team and increase our capabilities. We look forward to project managing our first well later this year which will mark a significant point in our company’s growth and having been part of Zenith since the start I am delighted to take on a more senior role in the company’s development and expansion.”
