The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate reported an increase in oil production for the month of July.
The region produced 153,000 barrels of oil per day, which represents an 8% increase on the previous month. The figure was also a 2% increase on early predictions. To date oil recovery in the region remains 1% up on NPD’s prognosis.
The oil production contributed to a top line figure of 1,935,000 barrels of oil, NGL and condensate for July.
Total gas sales for the month topped out at 8billion Sm3 – 0.6 GSm3 more than the previous month.
The total petroleum production for the first seven months of this year currently sits at 125.4 million standard cubic meters oil equivalents.
