
A new Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) conference aims to tackle the exploration and production challenges in the Caspian region.
The SPE Caspian Technical Conference and Exhibition will be held on November 12 to 14 in Astana, Kazakhstan.
The event, hosted by Shell, will include speakers from KMG, KAZENERGY, KPO, TCO, NCOC, Chevron and ExxonMobil.
Magzum Mirzagaliyev, vice-minister of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Campbell Keir, country chair and vice president of Shell Kazakhstan, will serve as keynote speakers.
Sessions will also be held on drilling and completions, reservoir description and dynamics, reservoir management, artificial lift applications and environmental stewardship.
