Oil and Gas UK’s upcoming supply chain seminar will focus on fresh ideas.
Organised with the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply, the “Dare to be Different” conference will explore the benefits of applying alternative supply chain management processes to overcome the sector’s increasing costs.
Ken Cruickshank, Oil & Gas UK’s operations manager, said: “While the industry has experienced a period of record investment, it is operating in a mature offshore oil and gas province where costs continue to rise and threaten the long term future of the sector.
WAt the ‘Dare to be Different’ seminar we’ll be taking a fresh look at existing supply chain management processes and inviting speakers working in sectors outside our own industry to share their expertise and thoughts about using alternative ways to manage systems.”
Mr Cruikshank added: “Speakers from the nuclear power generating industry and procurement consultants serving diverse sectors will also contribute to the discussion.”
The event will take place at the Aberdeen Exhibition Centre on September 18.
