Petrobras posted a rise in production topping out at 2.7million barrels of oil equivalent per day in August.
The figure represents a 4% rise for the Brazilian explorer.
The month-on-month improvement was fuelled by a performance ramp-up for platforms P-55 at Roncador field, located in the Campos Basin, P-58 at Parque das Baleias, located in the northern section of Campos Basin, and FPSO Cidade de Paraty at Lula Nordeste, located in the Santos Basin.
A total of 11 new offshore wells were launched last month, contributing to the 47 new wells started since the beginning of the year.
The company’s fleet currently stands at 15 vessels.
August production was up despite planned maintenance knocking 25 thousand bdp off the total figure. The P-56 and P-19 platforms, both located in the Marlim field, have since resumed normal operations, according to the firm.
