Technology and skills provider Atlas Knowledge has created a system to manage and track the competence of employees in the oil and gas industry.
The Competency Assurance Management System (CAMS) was developed with expertise from a industry advisory group of 100 people.
It provides an online assessment and training management system which allows data surrounding employees from training requirements to monitor staff performances.
Competency consultant at Atlas, Bianca Parnaby, said: “Training in the oil and gas industry is as vital today as it has ever been and this new software offers a way to manage competency more effectively.
“It tracks individuals’ training and their increasing competence, and provides a forum for effective communication to motivate and support each candidate.
“CAMS reduces costs by cutting down on administration, travel time, and the time and effort spent by candidates submitting evidence.
“It allows greater flexibility for assessors and provides real-time information for more effective team management.
“Global and regional dashboards show individuals’ competence instantly, wherever they might be.
“It is fully auditable and scalable, and will integrate with existing HR and Learning Management Systems.”
