Aqualis Offshore has secured three contracts for its Middle East offices amid its aim to build a stronger presence in the area.
One nine-month contract with the Oil and Natural Gas Cooperation(ONGC) will see the company’s base in Dubai provide the energy giant with rig moving and warranty services in offshore India while another with an ‘undisclosed client’ will see the marine consultancy responsible for delivering the engineering for the conversion of two jack-up rigs into mobile offshore production units.
The third deal is part of an annual call-out pact between the company’s Abu Dhabi office and Total ABK for work at the Abu Al Bukhoosh field in Abu Dhabi. The work includes marine inspections and rig moving.
Reuben Segal, Aqualis director, said: “The Middle East is still the world’s biggest oil and gas market. Building up a strong presence here has therefore been a priority for us, because it puts us in a position where we can compete for jobs like these.”
The firm has also capitalised on Mexico’s oil and gas market after it opened an office in Mexico City last month.
