Aberdeen-based PIM (Plant Integrity Management) has landed a contract with Maersk Oil Qatar for its PSV (Pressure Safety Valve) software in the Al Shaheen field.
The company helped deliver PSV management and consultancy systems on 33 platforms in the region.
The data collected is being used to establish realistic test intervals and assist with Maersk Qatar’s exploration and appraisal activity.
Steven Plant, managing director of PIM, said: “By reducing risks and optimising performance in the Al Shaheen field we hope to strengthen our working partnership with Maersk long term.”
The Al Shaheen field contains a large number of further development opportunities.
