Floating production ship contractors BW Offshore has been given a two year contract extension for the lease of its vessel the Berge Helene.
The deal with PETRONAS Carigali Mauritania 1 will now end in 2017, rather than the second quarter of 2015.
BW Offshore is the world’s second largest contractor with a fleet of 14 FPSOs (Floating Production Storage and Offloading) vessels.
In August, the contractor completed facility documentation for a new $800million credit facility for the firm’s share in the Catcher development.
The company also took over full ownership of FPSO Petroleo Nautipa in a $49.3million in July.
