The SeverEnergia joint venture involving Russian company Novatek and state-run Gazprom Neft has launched the second stage of the Urengoyskoye field.
It lies within the Samburgskiy area and includes the second train of the gas condensate de-ethanization unit.
The overall capacity of the two stages of field development is 13 billion cubic metres of natural gas and more than 4.7million tons of de-ethanized gas condensate per year.
The wells drilled at the field are targeting the Achimov deposits, which are characterised by relatively high depth and shares of gas condensate in the hydrocarbon flow.
