Technip has been awarded two subsea contracts in the Gulf of Mexico by Stone Energy.
The flexible pipe supply contract and an installation contract are for the Amethyst field located at the Mississippi Canyon 26.
The first contract includes engineering, procurement, fabrication, assembly and testing of a five-inch production static riser.
The second contract covers the installation of the pipe as tieback to the Pompano fixed platform in 395 metres of water depth.
Deanna Goodwin, president of Technip in North America, said: “Technip is proud to bring its experience and to leverage its vertical integration of product design and manufacture and installation vessel fleet to support our customer’s needs.”
Technip’s operating centre in Houston will manage the project which is scheduled to be completed during the second half of 2015.
The flexible pipe will be manufactured at the Group’s Asiaflex Products plant located in Tanjung Langsat, Malaysia.
It will be installed using the Deep Blue, Technip’s deepwater pipelay vessel.
