Technip has been awarded a subsea contract for the Glenlivet project in the West of Shetland sector.
The company will carry out work including the fabrication and installation of production pipeline, supply and installation of steel tube umbilical and supply and installation of flexible tails.
The contract builds on a previous award by Total E&P UK of the contract for the Edradour Subsea development, which is located 75km north west of Shetland.
Knut Boe, president North Sea Canada, said: “It is very good to see the benefits of the synergies between these two projects being realized by Total’s award of this extra scope to Technip.”
Technip’s operating centre in Oslo, Norway, will execute the project in line with the previously awarded Edradour project.
Vessels from the group fleet will perform the installation in the summer seasons of 2016 and 2017.
The pipelines will be fabricated at the company’s spool base at Evanton on Scotland’s Cromarty Firth and will be installed by Technip’s vessel Deep Energy.
