French oil giant Total has made a gas discovery in the Norwegian North Sea.
The firm said the small gas and condensate discovery was made near to the Skirne field.
Preliminary calculations put the discovery between 2.5million and 9.4million barrels of oil equivalent, according to the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate.
Total owns 40% of the licence, while Centrica, Det Norske and Faroe Petroleum each hold 20%.
