Albania has delayed bidding for companies to explore for oil and gas on five onshore blocks for a further month.
The country has also delayed bidding for a further two blocks indefinitely.
Energy Minister Damian Gjiknuri ordered the bidding date be postponed for another month to allow companies more time.
The moves comes after a court repealed a 2009 agreement between Albania and Greece to divide their continental shelf.
One of the blocks, the Ionian 5, overlaps with the area of the Ionian Sea near Corfu – an area in which Greece wants to let companies drill.
Initial finds by a venture of Shell and Petromanas has whipped up interest in the region.
Bidders will have until July 15 to express their interest for blocks 4,3, Dumre, C and 4 onshore.
