The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) confirmed production figures were down month and month.
Total production for oil, NGL and condensate topped out at 1,866,000 barrels for the month of May.
The figure is 85,000 per day (0.4%) less than April’s tally.
However, the directorate said May’s figures were 1% above NPD’s forecast for the month.
The average daily liquid production in May was 1,510,000 barrels of oil, 325,000 barrels of NGL and 31,000 barrels of condensate. The oil production is 2.4% above the output in May last year.
The total petroleum production for the first five months in 2015 is about 94.0 million Sm3 oil equivalents (MSm3 o.e).
